Zone Leader Coucil

Here is a picture taken this month. We have a Zone Leader's Council every six weeks. This is a great group of missionaries. They are from Canada, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, El Salvador and Peru. They are the hardest working missionaries in the mission. They are like the 2000 Stripling Warriors. We feel blessed to be working with them.

Mission President's Seminar

This is a typical picture. This man is carrying bread. It is called chipa. The Paraguayans love it. They make it in big circles and then in smaller ones like a donut. It does not taste anything like a donut. It is more like the consistency of a bagel but it still different than that. They put cheese it in. It is amazing to me how they carry things on their heads.

We finally stopped along the road and asked a nice guy if we could take a few pictures of him and his cart. He had it full of watermelons that he was selling. Ryan and Nick Weaver enjoying the moment.

I had to jump right in and get a picture. I have been wanting to do this everytime we pass one but I always talk myself out of it. Terry stopped the car and said today is the day. The man was so nice. He didn't seem to mind that we were so excited to take some pictures. I felt like my Great, Great Grandfather, Edmond Lovell Ellsworth, coming across the plains in his handcart.

Here we are with Rhys and Pam Weaver outside a great Mexican Restaurant. In South America you would think that there would be a lot of Mexican Restaurants. That is not the case in Paraguay. We love this place though. It does have great food. The Weavers are amazing people. We had a great time with them.
